    THE COMPACT ANTENNA USING METAMATERIAL EBG STRUCTURE FOR ELIMINATING MUTUAL COUPLING BETWEEN PATCH ANTENNA

    Abstract

    Electromagnetic band gap bring some major change in radio frequency RF and microwave application, because of its property likes Surface Wave Suspension, Band Gap for particular frequency range, Mutual Coupling. In this paper the reduction in mutual coupling is shown between the elements of microstrip antenna array. The designed resonant frequency of design is at 5GHz. The 5× 24 matrix is inserted between the array and mutual coupling is reduced.
